LTL (Less Than Load)

LTL is a helpful service we offer that allows for smaller freight loads from multiple shippers to be transported together in one trailer. Using LTL shipping helps our customers save money since they only pay for the space they need, and the total shipping price will be split between all of the clients sharing the trailer. Ultimately, the overall price will be decided by multiple factors such as weight, dimensions, freight class, destination, and so on. Additionally, this service benefits the environment since by maximizing our trailer space we are able to minimize our usage of trucks and fuel to decrease our carbon footprint.

Freight Classification

Classifying freight is a critical part of calculating the LTL shipment price and the handling of the freight. The NMFTA (National Motor Freight Traffic Association) created an eighteen-class system to categorize freight based on factors like value, packaging, weight, and more. Choosing the correct freight class is important for ensuring that everything runs as efficiently as possible and that our customers aren’t overpaying for their shipments.
